We are Pit Bulls as you can see
We are not like the rest so please dont judge me
We bark like other dogs and love to make friends
We have a Mommie and a Daddy who love us
Even though we are man's best friend
written by Jeanine for the love of the 2 most perfect souls
In a month in half We have gone through 3 losses
On June 18th we found out our baby I was carring had no heart beat
and I miscarried on June 23, 2007. We named her Sarah Jessica,
On July 19th we lost our beloved Pit Bull Sally She was 11 years old to cancer
She had 2 forms of cancer and the other one took her life
after having her mammory tumor removed. Her body just shut down and we had to let her go. On Aug 2nd 2007
We lost our little Man Taz he and Sally were inseperable He has been with her since he was 3 months old
He had grieved his self so much to be with her again he was just 8 1/2 years old.
His kidneys were failing him and his body started to shut down so we had to let him go so he wouldnt suffer
I rocked and sang him to sleep with his fav little song i made up for him since he was a baby. I regret so much
not being there by Sally side when she left to go to rainbow bridge
But she was further away from home at a surgery center in Richmond VA.
but I know she knows how much I loved her by how much love she showed me
We got Sally when she was 2 years old I never owned a Pit before and was scared about getting her
When I first layed eyes on here it was instant love at first sight. She was so girly and so sweet
She had gone through so much before we got her, the people who had her before we got her tried to use her
as a fighting dog but she wouldnt fight so they starved her to try to make her fight and she still wouldnt.
Right before we got her they were getting ready to use her as a bait dog in the dog fights. Im so glad we got her
when we did. She didnt have a mean bone in her body she loved all animals and people. She was my baby girl from the instant we brought her home. She hated to get dirty or wet but she and Taz would go off in the back yard to the pond and she would play in the mud while Taz swam He would pull out sticks or tree limbs to the bank and she would take them up the hill to keep there pond clean for them to play.
Taz was very smart boy, When he was a puppy and still squated to potty Sally tought him to cock his leg it was so funny
He picked it up quick. When we lost our daughter Jennie we took them to see her the night before family night.
I wanted them to know why I was gone for so long being in the hospital. I was in there for 3 1/2 weeks.
I brought her out to the car to meet her big brother and big sister so they to could say good bye. Taz lean over and kissed her so gently on her cheek is was so heart touching. He cried all the way home sitting between my husband and I.
Soon as we got home and got settled in he jumbed up in my husbands lap and put both of his front paws around his kneck and just hugged him so tight as to say I know and I love you.
Taz man loved his rocks he woul find a rock and kick it around and lick on it all day if he was allowed
If we went some where and he found a rock he liked he would pick it up and put it in the car to bring home
There is one thing i have learned having these two in my life you can make any dog mean no matter the breed
or raise them as your own child and you will have the most best friend for life
Our fur babies were our children We had lost 3 of our own trying to have a family
and they were our comforters who helped us through each loss we have endured since 2000 in our family
when we lost our baby girl only 5 hours old. We told them both they were going to be a big brother and big sister
to get them ready for Our baby girl Jennie. I know they have met up again with our girls and loving them as they have
loved us. We will miss you both forever our blessings for thats what you both were our angels here on earth to help us through the rough times in our lives. I know you both or happy back together
Mommie miss you all so much Watch over the girls and listen to grand pop till i get there to be with you all one day.
Thank you to Dr John and Dr Kathy Gruss and their loving staff
At the Earlysville animal hospital in Earlysville Virginia
for caring and loving our four legged children as their own.
Also thank you to all our friends here at home for giving us the most precious gift to help us through
They surprised us with a new baby pit who looks so much like Sally.
A picture of him will be below
We named him Tucker Samuel In memory of our 2 babies. He has helped us so much
he is so much like Taz and Sally He is so comical to make you laugh just like Taz Man
and layed back like Sally
